Phil started his career in December 1984 as an engineering cadet by cycling along Findlay Road, Invercargill to what is now the Transpower GXP. After completing a Bachelor of Engineering and a Diploma of Engineering at Canterbury University, Phil had a couple of engineering and management roles before starting Utility Consultants in 1998.
Since 1998 Phil has personally advised over 60 electric companies from northern Sweden to southern Africa, including all 29 electric distribution companies in NZ and 11 of the 16 electric distribution companies in Australia.
Outside of work, Phil is an experienced treasurer, trustee, director and chairman.
